Blanke•ESFLEX is an innovative rebar made of stainless steel and plastic that is inserted into sawcuts to prevent the vertical movement of adjacent concrete slabs. Sawcuts are made very foot or so perpendicular to an expansion joint or crack in the slab. The Blanke•ESFLEX is then installed in the sawcuts with epoxy. The foam disc in the center of the bar is designed to allow lateral expansion and contraction movement while the stainless steel bar prevents vertical movement that could damage the tiled surface.
