Application

Apply the setting material according to the manufacturer's instructions. Press the perforated leg of the base into the setting material. Trowel the setting material over the leg making sure that there is full coverage within the perforations and along the edges of the leg.

Allow a gap of approximately 1/8" between the tile and the base profile edge. After the tile has been set, fill this gap with silicone caulk. Press the cap profile into the base making sure that the soft edges of the cap are pressed tight against the tile and bath fixture. It is always preferable to protect the joint with silicone.
